Residential Projects
The practice brings creative solutions to our clients’ individual requirements in new build, conversion and refurbishment projects. We believe that listening to and understanding the clients’ brief is of paramount importance to a successful project.
An integral element of good building design today is the development of an economic energy strategy and for this we have won an award with the creation of a contemporary house within the confines of a listed building. Amongst other features the project incorporated under floor heating, latent heat recovery systems and very high levels of thermal insulation throughout.
With residential projects our objective is always to highlight the best possible solution to the clients’ requirements. From this point the design evolves to take in to consideration the clients’ budget and feasibility of the scheme in terms of the overall longer term view of the living accommodation.
We are experienced in working up budget costings early on, usually after the first design sketches are agreed, in order that issues of feasibility and affordability are teased out at an early stage. In this way the practice has achieved a good track record of projects built to programme and budget parameters. These are essential elements for a productive collaborative venture with the client and a key feature of our undertaking.

Concept Architecture offers a highly developed creative perspective on residential conversion and refurbishment, ensuring that the opportunities available to either an existing or proposed new house are maximised to the full. We aim to achieve the best quality in design in an open acknowledgement that our built environments and the ways in which a building is used directly influences our daily lives. We aim then to bring the benefit of joy to our clients’ everyday experience of first-rate, functional architectural design.
